Art Zone
I've decided this year (2025) to learn digital art. I have a few reasons, though honestly it's soothing (mostly), and I wanted to be able to draw some art for the games I make. Which, I'm trying to get back into, if my health allows it.
My main focus right now is on environment or background art, and objects / items. I'm still learning the fundamentals though, via a mix of my drawing tablet and regular paper and pencil.
Learning materials
I'm using a mix of resources, but am sticking with a few as to not overwhelm myself. Any particular video or book that helps me a lot, and I'll link it in a post.
By the end of the 30 Days Challenge, I hope to share some of the sketches, and maybe a few from the ctrlpaint fundamentals free course. My goal is to eventually make a tiny "gallery" so I can look back and see the progress I make throughout this year. I also have my own personal challenges for each month, mostly related to the fundamentals & environments.
Digital art is a hobby for me, but I genuinely am motivated and optimistic for how this year will go. Time will only tell, but even if I just end up having fun, that's really all I could ask for :)
